About Chris Cole

Chris Cole

Chris Cole is a former Director of the Fellowship of Reconciliation and co-ordinator of Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT).   Currently he is researching and writing about how a contextual theology of reconciliation can challenge the accepted ethic of military security and move us towards a model of sustainable security for the common good.

For the past three years he has been researching and campaigning on the issue of armed drones.  He is co-author of Convenient Killing: Armed Drones and the Playstation Mentality, secretary of the Drones Campaign Network and he maintains the Drone Wars UK blog.  He speaks regularly to local groups and the media on drones and the growth of remote warfare.

Chris has been imprisoned a number of times for nonviolent direct action against war and war preparations, most recently in January 2011. He is a Roman Catholic and lives with his wife, Virginia, and their three children in Oxford.
